How to Become a Social Leader for bringing Positive Change in Society Social leadership is a relatively new concept that’s becoming more trending in the “Social Age”. Social leadership is a leadership style that focuses on connection, communication and collaboration to manifest change for benefit of communities. It’s built on trust, humility, fairness, empathy and kindness, and it’s a individualistic style that’s well-suited to the fast-paced, ever-changing world we live in today. After spending almost 30 years in social development sector including 10 years as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Leader and this awesome learning phase actually helped me to understand the IN and OUT of life and work. What my understanding suggest that Social Leadership is not actually related to Corporate Leadership style, where we lead a outcome based project, but it involves different dynamics, the human-centered leadership where the emotional and empathetic leadership style of leaders who focus on connection, collaboration, and communication. The social leaders act as social change catalyst as they are heart-driven leader who understands the importance of building strong relationships within their team and creating a positive work environment.
